ABOUT MELANIE CHEUNG


I absolutely love taking pictures of artists at work. I am deeply passionate about art, and thus seeing an artist in their environment is the greatest treat I could have had. During this branding session, I was able to capture both professionally taken headshots and more creative shots of her working. Starting off I wanted to capture the vast amount of her work, supplies and how much hard work she takes to create each piece. From stretching the canvas to a frame, mixing the paints and how delicately she applies each layer to create the soft abstract effect in her work.
